| Introduction | Fairly early on, Pilar decided she wanted to change things. Although still unsure about exactly what it was that needed changing, she propelled herself towards this quest anyways by embarking on a two-year Peace Corps odyssey. Her immersion in service led her straight to another six years of working as a Program Manager at Catholic Charities DC--right in the belly of the nation's capital and heart of the nation's problems. Believing that lessons learned from a collective 8-years of front-line service work might be of some value, she opted to pursue a graduate degree at the Georgetown Public Policy Institute and has very recently taken her first baby steps into the hallowed halls of the federal government. Regeneration offers Pilar the opportunity to swing her nonprofit sword from the mountaintops once again!
