About me

Introduction My father was a gifted artist who made a living for his family as a commercial artist. By the time I was 5 years old I was drawing animals (especially horses) quite well. When I reached high school I knew I wanted to work in art as a career. I was about 15 years old when my dad began to mentor me in commercial art as well as in some of the disciplines of fine art. Because of that early training I worked for several years on a semi-professional bases before entering college. After college I worked in a number of art industry venues. In 1979 I began a 25-year career in the exhibit industry designing and producing displays for visitor centers and trade shows in the United States and Canada. Since 1995 I have worked as a freelance artist while working on my fine art creations. I love to draw, paint and sculpt, as well as work with wood and 3 dimensional things. I do computer graphics and illustration also.
