For a change, this is not about me looking good or earning other people's approval. This is about me giving a safe space for the true me to emerge and unfold and evolve to what I wanted to be and what I'm called and moved to be. This may not make sense and it's okay. Let my story be my legacy to my nieces and nephew who are probably the only "next generation" family members I have for now and for quite a while. Let my struggles and insights and 'aha' moments be known. Let my pains and gains be known. Who knows, perhaps even the next generation can relate to them and hopefully benefit and make better choices. |
