| Introduction | I have always enjoyed the outdoors. I grew up hiking, backpacking and skiing with my family. Later I got involved in surfing, snow boarding, rock climbing, sailing, mountain biking, SCUBA, whitewater kayaking and sea kayaking. An interest in paragliding led me to the most spectacular outdoor sport ever, soaring like Icarus on a hang glider and recently flying the silent wings of a sailplane. I began working on an ambulance at the age of 19 as an EMT, a few years later as a Paramedic and now as a Firefighter/Paramedic since 2001. After living aboard a sailboat and traveling the California Coast with my wife Teri, we moved to the bay area's best small town of Benicia. Without Teri's constant support I would be unable to experience such an adventurous and rewarding life. |
