Introduction | Rajendraprasad Sakharam Masurkar is a journalist residing at Ratnagiri, a coastal district town in Maharashtra. He embarked for his career as an ITI trained motor vehicle mechanic and then graduated with Arts faculty. He obtained Master of Arts degree from Tilak Maharashtra University, Pune as well as completed courses in journalism and mechanical engineering (AMIME). On the occasion of Diwali festival in 1997 Mr. Masurkar launched the first issue of Motor Jagat which was the FIRST AUTO MONTHLY ever published in the Marathi language. Mr. Masurkar later launched an activity of ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS and established an institute for automobile education. (www.masurkarsacademy.webs.com) Mr. Masurkar also works as visiting faculty for S.B.Keer Law College, Ratnagiri and writes a column on international affairs for Tarun Bharat Daily, Belgaon (all editions). He is author of a book on journalism, several booklets on motor mechanism and road safety as well as his full biography of biographer Padma Bhushan Dhananjay Keer has won literary awards and his Marathi translation of Tilak's biography written by Keer has been much appreciated by readers and critics. |
