| Introduction | Brian Pearson is business editor of the Tyler Morning Telegraph. He has been a journalist since 1986 and has worked at seven different Texas newspapers. He has run 17 marathons, including Boston, and plans to run a marathon in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. He has nine states crossed off his map, the latest being Arizona, where he ran his worst marathon ever. He plays trumpet for a local rock band, Buffalo Blonde and lives in rural Pinewood, where wildlife makes life interesting. |
