| Introduction | I will be the new summer 2012 wildlife technician at the White Memorial Conservation Center. This spring I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in natural resources, with a concentration in fisheries and wildlife conservation. In my blogs I plan to inform everyone about upcoming research and conservation projects that the White Memorial Conservation Center has planned for this summer. These projects cover a wide range of animals; from reptile & amphibian cover object monitoring to reestablishing purple martin breeding colonies. The chief goal of the blogs will be to thoroughly describe these projects and explain how and why they are being done, from a biological standpoint. In the end, we hope to learn more about the environment that surrounds us and how to best manage it. |
