| Introduction | I am the wife of a small town Alberta farmboy, the mother of three fantastic, dirtbike riding, hockey and baseball playing boys and a teacher with 20 years experience under my belt. I have been teaching Kindergarten for most of those years and absolutely LOVE it! My career has recently taken a side road into a program called Building Blocks. I am doing an in home Family Literacy program with children aged 1-6. What a new adventure this is! |
| Interests | Over the past year, I have become very interested in Educational Technology. I have made great strides in developing a PLN (personal learning network.) Three ways I have done this are joining twitter(jmcmcmahon), which gives me amazing access to other educators. I have also joined an educators forum called Classroom 2.0. This is another arena for discussion, learning and being amazed by what others are doing in this amazing profession. I am able to interact with teachers not only in Alberta but all over the world. Thirdly, I have began doing online projects with classrooms outside of our school, our province and even our country. It is an amazing time to be a teacher. |
