| Introduction | I am a dad with a checkered past. Like most people I have made a few mistakes. Some of my errors have been minor and others quite catastrophic. I am not the same man I was 12 years ago, when the best mistake I ever made was born. I have struggled with the desire to have my daughter be a friend and the need to be firm with her showing her the importance or right and wrong. I have struggled with the need to always defend her when I know she is wrong and teach her how to admit she could have done better, or made different decisions. I’ll call this wonderful person, my daughter, The Runtyun in this blog. It is a combination of Runt and Youngin’. |
