| Introduction | Blogger: Joseph Ross Fishing Area: Western Maine Kennebago river, Little Kennebago lake and the Magalloway River upper and lower. I have fished this area for 50 years.I am retired Military (spl ops) and proud of it.spending my time fly fishing and a lot of time on local volunteer projects for kids and seniors. My free time is fishing the Rangeley area.A registered Maine guide for 40 + years and have guided most of the summer camps in western Maine. I taught fly casting for a season with Trout Unlimited summer camp and LL Beans fly fishing school.I like to fish and share the fun.I use my guide skills for FREE,too many people think all the big fish have been caught in western Maine.They are wrong and my experience and history proves it. I own Kennebago Flies, a small mostly wholesale tying business with an excellent reputation and clients to keep me busy during slow fishing better known as winter. My major joy is showing people that there are still respectable fish in the Rangeley area. I will try to keep readers up on fish, water and road conditions and other general fly fishing knowledge that has been passed to me from several generations of Rangeley guides and fishermen. |
