About me

Introduction I am an Obstacle Race enthusiast. I enjoy strength training, yoga, mountain biking and running through the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale, Arizona. My fitness goals for 2015 are to complete the 5̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶e̶ (completed), 8+ mile and 13+ mile long Spartan races, the Tough Mudder race, and a 50K (31 mile) run through the desert. This all started last fall when I broke the frame on my Mountain Bike. After a couple weeks of feeling sorry for myself, I decided to try running the mountain, instead. With some electronic Vocal Trance music to fuel my runs, I discovered a new level of Joy I had never experienced before. 18 months ago I doubted that I could run 3 miles, In January 2015 I ran 28 miles, climbing 5,500 ft, in 28 hours and in February I completed the 5 mile Spartan Race. This Blog is written and maintained to meet the requirements of the Spring Semester Social Media class at Scottsdale Community College.
