Introduction	Why am I not civil? Because most lefties already are. And in return we get called "bleeding heart" wimps. Well, not this one. Once upon a time, I considered myself an ass-kicking Republican. I even used to attempt to call in to the Rush Limbaugh show as one of his mindless "ditto heads". It was during one of his television shows that I noticed that he was dismissing statistics from prestigious institutions and instead inserting his own charts full of his own fuzzy math. It began to occur to me that he was just making it up. Around this time Al Franken's book "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" came out and the cat was out of the bag. I then began to see him for the cigar chomping arrogant jerk that he was. In the years that followed I set out on a quest for understanding. It took almost a decade but...I did it. I now know that the Republican party is no longer the party of Lincoln (which is the Republican party that I supported), it is now the party of Enron, Goldman Sachs, and the "God Hates Fags" movement of the Kansas Westboro Baptist Church.
