Introduction Jay Horne is an author and father of four. His early writing was done on a Tandy 1000sl as a twelve-year-old. Those stories were inspired by novels like Jurassic Park and movies like Congo and Creepshow. Of course, he's had a lot of practice since then. His adult publications took on a tone reminiscent of Stephen King and the late Anne Rice. Coincidentally, this was while he was exhausting their entire libraries of works. But in recent years, his writing has turned to satire and he has settled into the magical world of comic fantasy where he has finally found his niche. His most recent and largest influences have been Sir Terry Pratchett, T.H. White, Thomas Mallory, and Geoffrey of Monmouth. He keeps a weekly newsletter 'Stories that Slap' as another creative outlet, which can be found at bookflurry.substack.com "I've been doing a little of everything besides writing for a very long time," he says. "Writing, I've been doing a lot of."
