IntroductionUmberto Tosi – author of Ophelia Rising – is contributing editor of Chicago Quarterly Review. His published fiction includes a trio of novellas – Our Own Kind, Satan the Movie and My Dog's Name – set in Los Angeles, where he began a distinguished journalistic career with the Los Angeles Times as a staff writer and then, managing editor of the paper's Sunday magazine. He moved north and became editor of San Francisco Magazine, then managing editor of Francis Ford Coppola's City Magazine, editor-in-chief of the Diablo Magazine Group, as well editor at digital publisher MightyWords.com. He founded Light Fantastic Books in 2006. He has published hundreds of articles and stories in regional and national magazines and reviews. His published books include the cold war spy biography, High Treason (GP Putnam & Sons) Sports Psyching (J.P. Tarcher), the Christmas novella, Milagro on 34th Street, and a short story collection: Gunning for the Holy Ghost. Umberto Tosi was born in Boston. He lives and writes in in Chicago with his partner, artist Eleanor Spiess-Ferris.
