| Introduction | I live in Floyd County, Virginia with my husband, Scott, an acoustic blues & roots musician. I made him promise me when we married that our lives together would never be too routine or boring. He's kept his promise. We have two sons; Spencer (a Freshman at a community college), and Emerson (a 9th grade home schooler). |
| Interests | I make homemade soup without a recipe, homemade cards, I garden and I am learning to trade the forex market. I write on this blog--but never regularly! My husband is a full-time guitar teacher and musician, Together we are Service Providers to a 24/7 live-in individual. |
| Favorite movies | Out of Africa, Amelie, The Usual Suspects, The Shawshank Redemption, quirky foreign films, and movies directed by Frank Capra (particularly You Can't Take it With You and It's a Wonderful Life). |
| Favorite music | Celtic jigs & reels, classical, Coldplay, Alanis Morisette, Prince, Sting, John Mellencamp, 80's hair-bands & New Wave. I like silence as much as I enjoy music. I enjoy sitting outside on the deck or under the apple tree, listening to the bees buzz and the birds sing. |
| Favorite books | I love to read. When my sons were younger, we read all the Little House on the Prairie and Chronicles of Narnia series out loud at bedtime. I enjoy anything by Robert Ludlum or Garrison Keillor, books on espionage, gardening, nature, finance, or spirituality (Buddhism in particular). This list could go on for days. Books are a weakness--and dark chocolate (of course). |
