| Introduction | Hi! I'm Dee, a wife & mother of three. Two of my children are already grown, 18yr old twin girls and then I have an 11yr old son. We live on the Sunshine Coast of Beautiful British Columbia in Canada. I've been married to my husband/best friend going on to our 14th yr. He's an amazing guy & I love him with all my heart. My hobbies are numerous, so I'll just list what is most important to me. Scrapbooking is number one, I love making 12x12 layouts of my family, but through the world of youtube I was introduced to paper crafting and have expanded my love of SB to include altering items, making mini albums, creating cards & more. I also love reading & that includes books for the pure pleasure & enjoyment as well as for my personal growth. Well, that's about it. Thanks for reading my About Me. HUGS, Dee |
| Interests | Scrapbooking with a dash of cardmaking. Family times that make for great scrapbooking memories. Reading for pure pleasure and reading for knowledge. Learning and applying knowledge aquired from people in the motivational industry. My favorites are Bob Proctor, Jessica Ortner, Nick Ortner, Carol Tuttle, Anthony Robbins & Jack Canfield. |
| Favorite movies | My all time favorite movie is probably Terms of Endearment, although it makes me cry like a baby so I don't watch it often. One of my new favorite movies is City of Ember, based on a book written for preteens about a city built underground and the escape of two youths after discoverying there was somewhere other than Ember. I love almost anything with Bill Cosby or Steve Martin, anything really funny is great..oh..and I love Princess Diaries...every girls fantasy life come true right? As for documentary movies...I've recently watch The Secret...love, love, love it. |
| Favorite music | Country, 60's, 70's & 80's |
| Favorite books | My favorite author these days is Sophie Kinsella...she brought Rebecca Bloomwood to life with so much creativity, those books are so light and humerous and just take you away from all the stuff that happens in the world and gives you a break from the day to day stuff. Another favorite author of mine is Kristen Hannah. I've spent many, many hours in the past consuming VC Andrews books too..but only the ones she actually wrote. I can't forget to mention Chicken Soup for the Sould books...they are the best! OK, those books are all for pure pleasure and that's wonderful, but I'm into growing and learning and have been for many years. My favorite book and the first anyone should ever read...Who Moved My Cheese, funny and light, yet deep & meaningful. There are so many books I could list here, but I'll be talking about them on the blog as I go so I won't list them here. |
