| Introduction | I'm a Girl Raised In The South and no, we're not all inbred and ignorant as we are far too often portrayed. I'm a massage therapist and non-denominational minister. I perform weddings and commitment ceremonies but I don't have a church. I love the God of my understanding with all my heart and soul. I'm completely OK with it if you don't hold the same views as me or even believe in God, at all. I'm a progressive liberal and believe in fiscal responsibility. I don't see the two as being mutually exclusive. I believe I am my brother and sister's keeper because every spiritual tradition states this as a universal truth: we are ALL one! I sincerely believe we desperately need to change the direction in which our country has been headed for the last 7 years. We have become a people ruled, controlled and enslaved by our fears. I choose to hold a higher vision of this nation and all of humankind. "You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one…." |
