| Introduction | I love to write. I was raised in a family filled with journalists. My father (later brothers/sister) was in radio, and the family owned a Spanish newspaper. I've been writing since fourth grade; professionally, 14 years. I have thousands of published articles in newspapers, websites, and magazines -local, regional, national and international. I have been published in the 2005 anthology, "Stories of Strength" - my story sits alongside those by Orson Scott Card, Wil Wheaton and Robin Lee Hatcher. I am the recipient of several writing awards, including a 2003 "Excellence in Journalism" Freedom Communication's media award, a Friend of Education award and numerous awards and honorable mentions for some of my short stories. I have recorded several radio and television commercials for the Bakersfield Californian. I had my radio debut (commercial spot) on KTIP Porterville at age 12, and on KCOK Tulare at age 16. I love to travel and do so often, visiting archaeological, historical and tropical places. |
