| Introduction | My only child Sylvie was born via c-section after 24 hours of induced labor. She had wonderful Apgars and was presented to me as a healthy girl. On day of life 4 she began having seizures, was transfered to the NICU and spent the next month in and out of the hospital for seizures. At 4 months old her "big bad" seizures stopped due to finding the right medication, but her development has been slow. She has stumped the doc's and cuttently has a list of syptoms, but no real diagnosis. Despite many challenges, Sylvie is one of the happiest and most content kids I have ever met and an absolute joy to be around. I am a stay at home mom. Most days Sylvie and I can be found attending therapy, doing therapy at home, strollering at the park, and couch cuddling in front of bad TV. |
