| Introduction | In "real life," I was the editor of two local newspapers that were unceremoniously axed by the Journal Register Corp. just before Christmas 2008, so I spent a year scouring job boards attempting to find a job that pays a living wage and freelancing. After almost six years at a small publishing company, I'm retired, sort of. When my bosses announced their retirement, I figured I'd quit the Day Job hassle. Almost 10 years later,I'm still freelancing like any dutiful writer. I contributed to the Branford Eagle (an online newspaper) for 10 years. I make people's effusive, badly written copy look presentable for a chain of local newspapers and write for various pet publications. Drum roll... At the age 72, I had my first book published: "The Art of Raising a Kitten,"available on Amazon. Oh, and I'm really good at ranting, which is what this blog is about. |
