IntroductionI am not the most outgoing person, but I do open up to the people that I trust. I do not have very good social skills, but that has been something that I ahve been working on. I consider myself young at heart but old in mind. Knowledge is one of the most important things to me because it opens many doors in life. I think that music is the human lovesong and art is the human form of self expression. My talents range from drawing, painting, and sculpting, to playing guitar, piano, and violin. My hobbies are reading newspapers and magazines, surfing the net (lightly), keeping the swimming pool clean, reading short books and stories, playing games on wii, walking the dog, and other routine things that keep my mind focused and sharp.

Favorite moviesSome of my favorite movies are: The Nightmare before Christmas Monster's Inc. Billy Madison Dumb and Dumber The Graduate (Recently favorite) Jurrasic Park
Favorite musicClassical music is a permanent choice, but I once had music that I considered my favorite, and no longer do. Previously: Sublime Bob Marley Pink Floyd Jimi Hendrix Beach Boys Etc. But in recent times I have learned to let go of some of that music and appreciate a wider selection of artists and genres. I learned about the ingenuity of Jazz and really like many jazz artists. I searched the early history of Rock and Roll for inspiration and found it in bands like Haley and the Comets. Even before Rock and Roll there was great music; Benny Goodman, Glen Miller, Gene Krupa, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Nat King Cole, and the list could go on. Then from there I found an iterest in early spanish and mexican artists that sang in trios with a tropical tune. These guys were Agustin Lara, Trio Los Pancho, and a few others that really stuck the chord. Recently, I have found an interest in American 70-80 rock such as the Rolling stones, led zeplin, Van Halen, aerosmith, and a few others. Then within the past few months I was introduced to Indie music, which I previously just ignored. Now I like bands like the Cribs, Dashboard Confessional, Sufjan Stevens, Bright Eyes, Dr. Dog and Alpha Spirit, The Postal Service, ahh! too many to remember.
Favorite booksMy favorite books are scientific texts that opened the world to new ideas and theories. Books by Gallileo, and Copernicus are some of my favorites, but I also like Darwin's books. Adam Smith also wrote good books that I must read for school and have grown to enjoy his style of writing and his ideas and philosophies. Freud books are still on the fence for me because I have not yet read an entire one, only snippets. I think that freud probably has good theories, but there is so much debate about the quality of his research and findings, therefore I read with caution. I like inspirational books like Jonathan livingston seagull and Og Mandino's series of motivational titles. Scholarly-wise I really enjoyed reading Lord of the Flies, Macbeth, Beowolf, 1984 & Anthem, and Kafka.
