IntroductionI'm 22, a Christian and a member of Venice Baptist Church. I've got a wonderful family, great friends, and, oh yeah, I'm in my last semester of college. I'm a really, really big Tennessee Volunteers fan!
InterestsSeeking to become more like Christ, having fun with family and friends, watching University of Tennessee football and basketball games.
Favorite moviesFinding Nemo, Bolt, Gods and Generals, and Amazing Grace.
Favorite musicHymns, songs by Steve Green and other classical Christian music. I like a bit of country, too. Favorite hymns include "Only a Sinner", "There is a Fountain Filled with ", "Jesus my Great High Priest", and "Jesus, Keep me Near the Cross". Favorite songs include Christian songs like "Enter In", "The Symphony of Grace", and "The Victor". Favorite country song: "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. Favorite patriotic songs: "Where Were you When the World Stopped Turning", "Have You Forgotten", "Let's Roll America", and "Politically Uncorrect".
Favorite booksJohn Bunyan's works "The Celestial Railroad" by Nathaniel Hawthorne. If you have read Pilgrim's Progress, I highly advise you to read this. Hawthorne wrote this allegorical short story to show the problems with liberalism and easy believism. It is the sobering story of what happens to those who try to take the easy train ride to heaven. "Let's Roll" by Lisa Beamer: the amazing story of the heroes of flight 93 written by the wife of the man who said those famous words, then led the charge of those heroes of the Pennsylvania sky who died so that those on the ground would be safe. "She said yes" by Misty Bernall: the story of Cassie Bernall, one of the Columbine victims. When the gunmen pointed their guns at her head and asked her if she believed in God, she said "yes" and paid the price. Her mother recounts her life in this book from childhood to a time when she lived in some of the darkest depths of depravity as a teenager, to her conversion, and ultimate martyrdom. For lighter reading, I enjoy the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
