| Introduction | I am an Asian-American, specifically Taiwanese-American, filmmaker, writer, and thinker. I think I was French in my past life. Some people tell me I think too much, but to me that's actually a good thing. If I didn't think so much, I wouldn't have the persistent need to write my thoughts in a blog. |
| Favorite Movies | I enjoy all kinds of films, but most particularly I enjoy French New Wave films, such as those by Jean Luc Godard, Eric Rohmer, and Jean Eustache. I also enjoy the New Wave of filmmakers from Asia that are inspired by the French New Wave. These filmmakers include Edward Yang, Wong Kar Wai, and Hong Sang-soo. |
| Favorite Music | The Beatles, John Lennon, Velvet Underground, Trent Reznor, Bob Dylan. |
| Favorite Books | I enjoy the existentialist works of Jean Luc Godard and Simone de Beauvoir. I also love to read the alchemical theories of Carl Jung, and the insanely brilliant novels of Thomas Pynchon. |
