| Introduction | Fred has always enjoyed story-telling. From an early age, he would listen for hours to his grandfather talk about life on the farm filled with love, caring and compassion. The son of Floyd and Mabel Jane Brown, Fred grew up in Dayton, Ohio, as the youngest of three boys. Fred graduated from Belmont H.S. in Dayton and Capital University in Columbus. He spent two years in the U.S. Army as a court reporter and special services ballplayer and began his professional life as a YMCA Executive. Fred's work in the YMCA was directing children's camps. Upon his retirement from the YMCA, Fred relocated to Myrtle Beach and has worked as a hospitality manager for 15 years. Fred has three grown children, Timothy and Daniel of Myrtle Beach and Jennifer of London, Kentucky. Today, Brownie (as his friends call him), is a writer and publisher fulfilling his life-long ambition of sharing stories through the written word. Brownie is currently writing his first novel, "Now and Forever". |
