| Introduction | I am a Belgian woman writing this blog in English, which is not my native language. I originally started my first blog, 'MY NEST,' to share the life story of my beloved pet duck, Pipke. Sadly, she passed away on September 14, 2009, at the age of 14 years and three months. On May 31, 2010, I launched my second blog, 'LIFE STORY OF PIPKE THE DUCK,' where I began chronicling her life from the very beginning. However, on November 9, 2010, my life took a dramatic turn (see sidebar). The loss of Pipke had already taken its toll, and this new ordeal became more than I could bear. It was the darkest period of my life. I stopped blogging for over two years because I had lost my will to live. But the memory of Pipke kept me going. I gathered my strength and survived that difficult time. Now, I am back to continue Pipke’s story. I invite you to read about her life—it is a true love story. She was my faithful companion and the love of my life. On 'MY NEST,' I describe the final chapter of Pipke’s life (click the label in the sidebar).
