| Introduction | I am a mother of three and grandmother of two. Recently my oldest returned with her two children, and face with the challenge of feeding 7 mouths (not counting two Springer spaniels, Daisy and Patches) on a tight budget. Cooking and canning are two loves and my blog, pumpkin butter, will be devoted to feeding a family well reasonably. I am also working on shopping system that maximizes savings. I will give weekly updates that include money spent, shopping list, and menus. I will also share what I am canning (based on a weekly special). I have two new blogs: self improvement and creativity. Project me will focus on the physical well being of my family and me with monthly goals in diet, exercise, and self care. I will monitor progress and share research regularly. My creative blog will focus on music, and art projects. It will include monthly music programs with family, and art projects. I will include photographs of our events and projects. I am also currently a first grade teacher at a Northern CA school. I am passionate about education and active in promoting sound educational practices at a local and state level, whether that involves getting people elected or laws changed. |

In the dream where you show up to school naked, why do you never go swimming?
That is a good question as teachers often have this dream just before school starts. I, for one, build new clothes with paper and a stapler.
