Introduction	Hi! My name is Melissa. I'm 29 years old and had Gastric Bypass surgery (RNY) on Jan. 5, 2010. I work in higher education as a career counselor and enjoy my job, but I'm also in the process of trying to find a "healthy" balance between work and life and the success that can come from both! I've struggled with my weight all of my life and have had an amazing journey so far. I'm currently 26 months out from surgery and I feel absolutely great. I'm down an amazing 175 pounds from my highest weight ever (yep, I've lost more than half of myself!). I love my husband, Ryan, more than anything and our new baby Aiden James. Aiden was born November 29, 2011 - 23 months post-op. Our little family is completed by our 3 year old puppy, Bentley (Maltese/Yorkie mix). I found other people's blogs helpful as I was making my WLS decision, so I feel I need to do my part by starting my own!
