Introduction When I was a small child, my family lost its photo albums and family bibles in a massive storage fire. I grew up always worrying about the effects a disaster could have on those things that give one's life a special richness and I envied those people who could recount stories with photos about their relatives and friends from many years past. When my child was born, I bought a fire proof safe to store those images, movies and keepsakes, only to fill it within 6 months. So, my question was, what now? Fire proof file cabinets? Safty deposit boxes? Copies of photos distributed to other people to share in their safekeeping? The internet changed all that as my images have now been secured at www.preservephotoimages.com. However, I still keep looking as I research my family's genealogy for photos that have never been replaced: Jacob and Betsey Whitmarsh (Civil War Era Pennsylvania and New York); John, Catherine and Eleanor Whitmarsh (Otsego, NY and Westfield, PA), John Callahan of Syracuse, NY. If anyone has any photographs of these family members, please feel free to contact me. I'm still looking for them. Thanks. Feel free to contact me at callfosh@aol.com.
