| Introduction | Alan S. Cajes, PhD, holds degrees in Philosophy and Applied Anthropology. He chairs the Advocates for Development Management and Sustainability, Inc., a non-profit organization that he co-founded. From 1994 until his retirement in 2024, he held various leadership positions at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines. He now serves as a resource person at DAP, and a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Governance, Innovation, and Sustainability at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. |
