Introduction | My name is Rhonda Stoltzfus and I’m a Northern California native with a degree in Horticulture from Iowa State University. I am a master bee keeper and Iowa fruit farm owner on permanent sabbatical in Hawaii. I moved to the Aloha State 8 years ago to finally get warm and to support my partner in his passion for biotechnology. I’ve always enjoyed writing. When I left for college I was the “Foreign Correspondent” for a satire paper called The Flying Penguin. Apparently they considered Iowa a strange place. After college I discovered the joy of setting up and conducting experiments and was published in The Journal of Plant Nutrition with the riveting paper: Effect of increasing root-zone temperature on growth and nutrient uptake by ‘gold star’ muskmelon plants. It was a real page turner. |
