| Introduction | My name is Victoria Haggarty, and I am a senior at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville currently. I am originally from Brentwood, Tennessee, from a family of four. I am at UT participating in the Deaf Education teacher program as well as Art Education. In addition, I am studying Studio Art as my second major. I am aspiring to be a part of these education programs because I want to be a teacher in the near future. I hope to teach art in deaf schools, as it is a strong and lifelong passion of mine. It is my desire to create an art classroom in which it can be a place where students are open to differences in culture, exploring problem-solving, creating positive attitudes toward themselves, and allowing for stimulation of their imaginations through art. I believe my excitement and love for art will encourage many students in my classroom. |
