| Introduction | Kelley took a fossil fuel-free, cross-country trip, running on empty in search of many things: veggie oil for the next leg of her trip, hope, extra pens, a place to sleep...and the New America. She explored hope, hers and others, in an attempt to identify why we are still spiraling about in a universe with no end in sight. Hope Walks into a Bar Looking for Change is a blog following her travels and exploring hope within a society seemingly invested in its own demise. The blog also features excerpts from her book, the seed of a dream, and an attempt to unify multitudes of tiny hopes into one unified vision. The ever elusive goal, as Rimbaud once put it goes a little something like this: "I shall be free to possess truth in one soul and body." |
