| Introduction | I am autistic and I have sensory processing disorder. I'm also the mother of a child with sensory processing disorder. The posts on this blog are offered as the thoughts of an adult who lives with these issues. Children with autism and sensory processing issues grow to be adults with the same issues. I see much information and many services for children with autism and SPD and for the parents and caregivers of these children, but I see much less devoted to those children after they have grown to adulthood. This is not intended as a criticism, only an observation. This blog is for people of ALL ages with autism or sensory processing disorder, or both, and the people who love, care for, or just want to understand them, because I believe that most adults with autism or sensory processing disorder, or both, need at least as much love and laughter as they did when they were children. |
