Introduction | I began teaching geology at Lone Star College - Tomball in 2005 and have loved every minute of it. The mission of community college systems—to make higher education available to anyone who wants it—is part of what I love about teaching at LSC – Tomball. I teach both Physical and Historical Geology. Geology is a fascinating subject that captured my heart when I was a lost former chemistry major and has not let me go! I am a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) activist and an inaugural Fellow in the AGU LANDInG DEI Leadership Academy. My DEI journey began with work to make my geology classes inclusive to students with disabilities. It has since grown to include all identity aspects. It is my goal to create an inclusive learning atmosphere where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. |
