| Introduction | I design and make unusually fine stringed instruments and furniture from a small shop at the west edge of Oregon's Willamette Valley, working with the lessons and inspiration of James Krenov, Lynn Dudenbostel, Edward Barnsley, Sam Maloof, Steve Gilchrist, David Shaner, Chuck Moore, Frank Boyden, and countless others known and unknown. I especially enjoy working w/folks on things they will use often and up close; ukuleles, tables, and desks for instance. Whether understated or exuberant in their design and construction, they are intended to support and in their way share our lives--meals, conversations, work, relaxation, celebrations, hardships, and milestones--collecting stories and perhaps some grace to carry forward. |
