Introduction	Shred Kelly began as a trio of Tim Newton, Ian Page Shiner and Steve Polit. Roommates sharing their love for music at jam nights, campfires and in the comfort of their living room. Soon, Tim bought a banjo which would soon lead to the realization that this band could soon be more than just a living room hoe-down. In the summer of 2009 Sage McBride and Jordan Vlasschaert joined the magic that was Shred Kelly to add bass, back up vocals and keys to the mix, and finally in the spring of 2010, Jeremy Wishart joined to add some hauntingly sweet and melodic mandolin strings to really complete the sound. This group of musicians was also brought together for the love of the mountains and their love of skiing and snowboarding. Since music and the outdoors are the two things things the bandmates deem most important, it's only natural that they would find their way together. Shred Kelly has a unique sound based mostly on the influence of the banjo. Referred to as those who hear the sound of Shred Kelly as banjo rock, they offer a sound that is uniquely Shred Kelly and will be taking their sound to the ears of all Canadians with a cross country tour this summer!
