| Introduction | Two childhood friends Mike Gooden and Theo Williams started producing mix tapes in the Fort Worth area in 2002. Each of them bringing their own unique sound to the table, Mike with his West Coast Riding music accompanied with heavy Southern bass lines blended well with Theo’s laid back jazz inspired grooves. The partnership was a lock after that. As the end of 2005 approached they decided to form their own production company called “Track University.” With the help of Joey Gryme (GrindKingMedia) an up and coming business magnate in his own right. The three embarked on a quest to bring “The Funky Town Sound” too the forefront of the Texas music scene. Now with a well-blended sound that they call “Cognac” Track University strives to connect with artists on a national as well as a global level. |
