| Introduction | I have loved going to the movies since I was a little kid. One of my earliest memories is being freaked out by the hookah smoking caterpillar in Disney’s amazing Alice in Wonderland. Years later, I was grateful to the Jefferson Airplane (not yet a Starship) for putting this troubling scene into a more useful perspective. On my top 25 all-time favorite films list: The Natural, Fitzcarraldo, Terminator (1 +2 only), My Favorite Year, Alexander Nevsky, Napoleon Dynamite, Wings of Desire, Mulholland Drive, Gandhi, The Russian Arc, 12 Monkeys and Alice in Wonderland. I live in Gardiner, NY with my wife Myrna, an executive coach and artist. Our adult daughters, Tisa and Ania, live in San Antonio and New York City, respectively. I am the former chair of Green Energy for Gardiner and the former chair of the town’s Open Space Planning Committee. My hobbies include playing and watching sports, biking, photography and, you guessed, watching movies. |
