| Introduction | I am a Roman Catholic priest, serving as pastor in the Portuguese parish of Saint Anthony of Padua/Lisbon. I am the Administrator of St. Francis of Assisi and Sacred Heart of Jesus parishes, all in Cambridge, MA. I was born and grew up in Fall River, MA, which I like to refer as the 10th island of the Azores. There are actually nine islands and my family is from the island of São Miguel. I was ordained in 1995 after completing theological studies at Blessed John XXIII (now Saint John XXIII) National Seminary. I studied previously at St. John Seminary in Brighton. My previous professional background was as a high school teacher, having taught Spanish and Religious Studies. I also speak Portuguese, and Spanish. |
