| Introduction | Dr. Richard Sterling graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1980 and has been serving Delaware Valley patients ever since. He was instrumental in the Philadelphia launch of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association’s “Kid’s Welcome Here” program. This multi-faceted campaign works with parents,community members, and educators to increase the number of children receiving eye exams from optometrists. Dr. Sterling also served as a proponent for InfantSEE, an initiative launched by Johnson & Johnson, President Jimmy Carter, and the American Optometric Association, promoting infant eye exams. He is immediate past president of the Philadelphia County Optometric Society and the former Secretary/ Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. |
