| Introduction | Though originally from Austin, I've lived in MN, CA, OR, Ecuador and Bolivia. I've worked in two National Parks and served in the Peace Corps. The short end of the story is that I was in Oaxaca, MX in 2007...and then landed a job in the sustainable food world in Austin. The rest is history. I'm what you would call "an everyday cook." I enjoy cooking with seasonal, local produce to produce simple, flavorful meals. My favorite gardening season is winter because I don't have to fight the TX heat. I have chickens in the backyard that would love to ravage my garden in the front yard. I rant about the state of public health and food politics. |
