| Introduction | This is my sixth trip to Tanzania and Uganda with Asante and my second as its president. We remain a small non-profit partnering with women's groups in both countries. but we have expanded some of our programs! Some goals for this current trip: assist with simplifying the administration of our micro-loan program; continue to educate and train the women who create the wonderful batiks and clothing we sell; and follow up on the gardening workshop we sponsored for some of the elementary schools in the area. |
