| Introduction | Travis and I have been enjoying life married for almost 5 years now. We moved to Fort Worth in May 2011 from Sugar Land where we spent the last 6 years. I got my degree from UH and taught 4th grade for 3 years at Dulles Elem. We are happy to be near my family now, but will miss friends dearly. Prior to that we moved from Lubbock after Travis graduated from Texas Tech University- Wreck 'em Tech! We have a cat, Lily, and two Great Danes, Moose and Malibu. In Houston we were actively involved in helping rescue Danes, and I served on the board of the Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas. We look forward to getting involved with Dane rescue here. I work with children for the same reason I work with animals; they each need an advocate, someone to help them onto the next stage of their lives. I really love the chance to be that person. Whether it’s the light bulb going off as one of my students finally grasps an idea, or that very first time a dog that needed a home ever happily wags its tail, it motivates me. |
