| Introduction | In the Spring of 2008, we applied to adopt two Ethiopian children, a girl and a boy. We were quickly matched with two kids that fit our request exactly. However, a week later, our agency received new information about them– they had twin infant siblings which must be adopted with them. If we wanted to adopt them, then they came as a group of FOUR! God lead us to an answer: John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends.” We realized that despite our fears and feelings of inadequacy as parents, God was calling us to this — to lay down our lives for them. We brought the children home from Ethiopia in January of 2009. The road has been long and difficult but God has walked it with us each day. He has loved us through his Church, through prayers and through His body serving us in so many tangible ways. This blog, although very poorly updated, is a small record of the miraculous things God has accomplished in our family. And He isn't finished yet.... |
