| Introduction | I started this blog for the following reasons - Someday I will need to start a new one..My father passed away after three short year battling cancer and leukemia. He left this earth for his heavenly home on October 5th 2009.... My Reason to Relay I Relay because I want to see an end to cancer during my lifetime. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much. In 2006 my father was diagnosed with lymphoma. He spent many months enduring chemotherapy and then radiation treatments and spent many days at the USC Norris Cancer Treatment Center and in the hospital. We are happy to say that through prayers and through the work of the doctor's hands and the dedication of his wife spending many days by his side taking care of his needs, he is now in remission! Though in remission, the inoperable tumor still remains but is not at this time growing. We know that the possibility exists that at any time the cancer may return. He is in our prayers every day! |
