Introduction Kate Finney has been showing her boldly colorful paintings and drawings for many years in the Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania area. Honors she has received include the Margaret Evans Award, from the Butler Institute of American Art. She holds a BFA from Youngstown State University, where she served as president of the Student Art Association a million years ago. She sometimes serves as a docent for the Butler Institute and teaches art for a nonprofit charity. She also enjoys eating frequent small meals and creative writing; her short stories have been published in Ohio and Ireland. An avid animal lover Kate often befriends wild animals and rescues those in need of medical attention.
Interests Kate enjoys painting, her pets, reading, writing short stories, eating, photographing her garden and food, and travelling.
Favorite Books Kate is partial to "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White's "The Elements of Style".
