Introduction | Kate Finney has been showing her boldly colorful paintings and drawings for many years in the Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania area. Honors she has received include the Margaret Evans Award, from the Butler Institute of American Art. She holds a BFA from Youngstown State University, where she served as president of the Student Art Association a million years ago. She sometimes serves as a docent for the Butler Institute and teaches art for a nonprofit charity. She also enjoys eating frequent small meals and creative writing; her short stories have been published in Ohio and Ireland. An avid animal lover Kate often befriends wild animals and rescues those in need of medical attention. |

Favorite Books | Kate is partial to "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White's "The Elements of Style". |
