| Introduction | The Ed. Fund was founded in 1983 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted to ensure that classrooms had the resources they lost as a result of Proposition 13. That year, The Ed. Fund raised $3000 in grants, and gave $3000 away in mini-grants to teachers. Since then, The Ed. Fund has been the major partner to the West Contra Costa Unified School District to infuse resources into schools, classrooms, and after school programs. The Ed. Fund's scholarship program has awarded $450,000 to deserving West County students over the past six years. |
