Introduction | I would have to say that my favorite thing to do is vacuum. Specifically, carpet. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like to do all the other stuff, too, like read, go the movies, travel, yadda, yadda, yadda. But there is nothing quite as cathartic as vacuuming. I take my time, making sure that I hit every part of the carpet. I love the crackling sound that lets me know that the vacuum is working, picking up the debris deep in the carpet fibers. I love the distinct dusty aroma from the mild dust kicked into the air combined with the HEPA filter. And while the racket of a running vacuum assaults some people's ears, to mine it is a sweet harmony. My parents have the best vacuum. For years, I have begged my mother to let me pour a pile of sand onto their carpet so I can vacuum it up again. She has refused. She thinks I'm crazy. I think it's magical. |
Favorite Movies | Is it Pixar? Then it's up there. (Except for that Cars movie. Anthropomorphic cars kind of freak me out. Which I suppose kind of makes sense because after every time that I watch the Terminator movies--and I have seen them all several times--I am a little wary about driving my car.) |
Favorite Music | "Hip to Be Square" by Huey Lewis and the News. Just kidding. It's actually "Baba O'Riley" by The Who. "Hip to Square" is a close second. |
Favorite Books | There's just not enough time. And with all the time in the world I could still not answer the question. Not even if the fate of the world is on the line. It's just not going to happen. We're in trouble if--at some point in the future--the fate of the world is hanging in the balance and the only way to save it is for me to list my favorite books. I apologize in advance. |
