| Introduction | Brian was my best friend... We met as teenagers in high school, falling in love quickly and heading off to college with our first son. Through 5 years of struggle we earned 3 degrees and 2 jobs before our second son arrived. A tumultuous 5 more years found us at the end of our marriage and the renewal of a strong friendship. On June 14th, 2010 one month before our 10th anniversary, Brian died tragically in the arms of his parents and under the tearful watch of both our sons. Who I am is changing drastically by the day. With the privilege of continuing on in the presence of his beautiful children, who I am becoming is hopefully who he wanted me to be. I am his wife, I am the mother of his sons, I am his widow. I am Brian's best friend, and he is mine. |
