| Introduction | Cutting to chase, this is an experiment. As a lifelong writer I've done, been, seen, met and had the times of my life all over the world. That said, it's time to get serious. Writing isn't a hobby, it is in my blood, it drives everything I do and have ever done. That sometimes causes me to not take it as seriously as I should. Finishing my books and publishing them will happen; help me see the forest for the trees, or both - tell me what you think about these random blog posts you'll start seeing. R |

The wicked backspin caught you off guard. How will you play it off without losing your footing?
Since this is a fairly common for me, I have learned to not show any reaction and to disarm by being charming, disarming the wicked-in-question with something they didn't expect, then allow them to kerfuffle themselves into my corner - then I dismiss them with a few carefully chosen, targeted, but pleasant and understanding parting words. I don't lose my footing.
